MAC Art Galleries

MAC Art Galleries is an art gallery group with locations in Jupiter, Delray Beach (two locations), and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Nelson Internet Marketing has worked with MAC Art Galleries since 2019, making it one of the longest-running and most active client relationships in the agency’s history — the engagement remains ongoing today.

The Challenge

A multi-location art gallery business faces a version of local SEO that single-location businesses don’t: every location needs its own visibility, its own Google Business Profile, and its own local rankings, while still building one cohesive brand. Jupiter, Delray Beach, and Fort Lauderdale are each their own local market, each with its own established galleries and decor businesses competing for the same searches.

South Florida’s art and home decor market is also unusually saturated. Jupiter, Delray Beach, and Fort Lauderdale sit in one of the most competitive gallery and interior design corridors in the country, with a dense concentration of independent galleries, decor boutiques, and design studios all chasing the same local searches. Standing out meant not just being visible in each market, but consistently outranking well-established local competition in all of them at once.

What We Did

  • Local SEO: On-page and site-wide optimization across every location page, informed by ongoing analytics review to prioritize what would move traffic and sales.
  • Google Business Profile management: Weekly activity across all four location profiles (Jupiter, Fort Lauderdale, and two Delray Beach locations) — photos, posts, review responses, and up-to-date business information to keep every listing active and competitive.
  • Link building & digital PR: Ongoing outreach to home decor, lifestyle, and design publications to build relevant, authoritative links back to each location page — showing search engines the site is trustworthy in its space.
  • Rank tracking & reporting: Monthly reports tracking rankings across close to 1,000 keywords and visibility against named local competitors in every market, adapting strategy as search evolved.

The Results

MAC Art Galleries’ growth has compounded year over year since the engagement began in 2019 — early groundwork built into steady mid-stage gains, which have accelerated further in the last two years.

2019: Building the Foundation. In the first months of the engagement, work focused on on-page and UX fixes across the location and home pages, an initial round of link building, and new blog content. Rankings for artist names and local art-related keywords were tracked across more than 1,000 search terms from day one, with any keyword ranking outside the top 10 flagged for further work.

2022: Steady, Compounding Gains. By the second half of 2022, the site was drawing over 124,000 visitors in a six-month span, with roughly 2,470 contact-page visits over the same period. Fourteen new links went live from May through October alone, and once rank tracking against named local competitors began that July, MAC Art Galleries’ visibility score outpaced every one of them — including beating a longtime Delray Beach competitor, Blue Gallery, by about 9% in local rankings.

2024: Rankings Stay in the Lead. Two years later, MAC Art Galleries’ rankings against its tracked competition remained the highest they had been in the prior five months running. Google Business Profile interactions across the four locations totaled roughly 2,180 over a five-month stretch, with the two Delray Beach locations seeing interactions climb as much as 16.7% year over year.

2026: The Strongest Growth Yet. Seven years in, MAC Art Galleries’ numbers are climbing faster than at any prior point in the engagement. As of August 2026:

  • Website traffic is up 57% year-to-date
  • Search Console clicks are up 270% and impressions are up 326% year over year
  • Google Business Profile interactions across the four locations grew as much as 11.6% year over year, with website clicks from GBP up 60% and calls up 214% at the top-performing location
  • The site is generating around 200 contact conversions a month, and rankings remain above every tracked local competitor

Why It Worked

Consistency across nearly seven years, across four locations, is the throughline. The same core levers — on-page optimization, active Google Business Profiles, real link building, and rigorous rank tracking — have been applied every single month since 2019, with the strategy adapted as search itself changed. That steady, compounding approach is what turned a competitive, saturated South Florida market into one where MAC Art Galleries consistently outranks the competition in every location it operates.

The Outcome

MAC Art Galleries remains an active Nelson Internet Marketing client today, seven years into the engagement, with growth still accelerating rather than leveling off. Traffic, clicks, impressions, and Google Business Profile engagement are all up sharply year over year in 2026, and the relationship continues.
